Terms of use: the content, the advertising links and the commission
An editorial site, not a service: what you may use, what is not warranted, and why some links pay a commission.
In short
This is an editorial site, not a service. It reviews other companies’ products and operates none of them: nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay for, no account to open. Some outbound buttons are advertising links, and if a reader pays on the other side this site may receive a commission — the reader’s price is unchanged.
Reading is for adults: full age in Hong Kong is 18 under the Age of Majority (Related Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 410), which is the line the age notice uses. The material itself is the reviews these terms cover.
Scope
What this site is, and what it is not
Most complaints in the inbox come from one of these three lines being missed.
A review desk
The product here is text about other people’s products.
- Descriptions come from the terms and price lists each service publishes, compared side by side.
- Facts age: a price checked today can change next week.
- Which companies are covered is listed in the list of services we link to.
Not a service or an app
Nothing on this site processes an image.
- No model runs here, no file is accepted and no software is offered for download — what these services call an app is reviewed, never hosted.
- This project is unconnected to the 2019 program and to every company that now uses the name.
- Refunds, subscriptions and account problems belong to the operator you paid, not to this site.
Not legal advice
Legislation is quoted, with a link to the text each time.
- A summary cannot tell you how a specific case will be decided.
- Statutes are amended, and a page may lag behind an amendment.
- Where something is at stake, ask a solicitor rather than a web page.
Advertising links
How the commission works
Four things happen when you use one of those buttons; one never does.
The link is marked
Buttons that earn a commission carry an advertising note in the same block as the recommendation.
You are passed a code
The address carries a referral code identifying this site. Nothing about you travels with it, as set out in the data part of these terms.
Payment, if any, is theirs
Any contract is between you and that operator, under their terms and jurisdiction; this site is not a party to it.
The ranking is not for sale
No one buys a place, a score or the removal of a warning, and services with no commission arrangement are listed on the same terms.
The note sits beside the recommendation because hiding a commercial interest is itself an offence: under section 13E of the Trade Descriptions Ordinance (Cap. 362), failing to identify commercial intent is a misleading omission, enforced by the Customs and Excise Department. Every price on the site is the operator’s own, in the currency it publishes; where a figure is worked out rather than quoted, the arithmetic is shown — as it is in the clip tariff converted step by step.
If something has gone wrong
Three kinds of complaint, three different addresses
Only the first of them belongs in this inbox.
You are the operator
Send the document that contradicts the page — terms, a price list, a registration — and the entry is checked against it and corrected. What will not change is the score for a condition that was only readable from inside the account when the comparison was made: the record of each service is kept in the disclosure notes held on each site.
You paid and got nothing
That contract is between you and the operator, and this site is not a party to it, holds no access to their systems and cannot move a payment. The operator’s support address first, then the card issuer or the payment provider; a chargeback does not wait for a reply.
An image of someone is involved
Nothing here can be taken down from anywhere else, and no image should be sent to this address — attachments are deleted unopened. The desks that can act, and the order to work through them, are in where a take-down request actually goes.

The three that come up most.
I paid a service and got nothing. Can you help?
No — this site is not a party to that contract and has no access to any operator’s systems. Write to the operator’s support address first, then to your card issuer: a chargeback does not depend on the operator replying. Tell us too; a service that stops answering its customers loses its place.
Does the commission change what you write?
It pays for the site, and it is disclosed next to every link that carries it. Warnings about retention clauses, missing operator details and dead support desks appear on services that pay this site, which is the practical test — how this project earns.
